glass fragments of time

Seven Leg Spider provide a fearsome sounding ‘glass demon’, with moments of stillness and beauty to Saburo Teshigawara’s Glass Fragments of Time. Wired glass instruments and the PD patch Seven Leg Spider are used to create the music. Teshigawara and Rihoko Sato perform on a massive square of countless broken glass pieces. Light is shown onto the glass to produce a giant kaleidoscope-effect reflecting light in all directions and moving as the reflections change due to the pieces being broken under the feet of the dancers.
